| WE AVERY SADDEN WITH THE LOSS OF OUR FRIEND ALLEN W4JAK WE JUST MET HIM IN JAN 2006 WHEN I GOT MY HAM RADIO LICENSE HE WAS VERY HELPFUL AND PUT HEART INTO HELPING US WITH SETTING UP MY RADIO'S WAS ALSO ONE OF THE FIRST TO VISIT ME IN HOSPITAL AFTER MY SURGERY . HE WILL MISSED . CATHY AND I WILL THINK OF HIM WHEN EVER WE USE THE RADIO OR HAVE A STORM WARNING. HE USED TO TELL CATHY TO JUMP IN A DITCH TO STAY SAFE . WE ENJOYED HIS HELP SETTING UP ANTENNAS AND RADIOS AT THE GREENWOOD COMMUNICATIONS CENTER . HE ALSO HELPED ME SET UP WEATHER CLASSES FOR OUR CROSS HILL FIRE DEPT , INTRODUCED US TO SOME REALLY NICE HAM OPERATORS . HE WAS A GREAT ELMER I WISH WE COULD HAVE SPENT MORE TIME THIS PAST SPRING WITH HIM BUT WE HAVE BEEN BUSY WITH MY FATHER 88 . THANK YOU ALLEN W4JAK FOR FOND MEMORIES THIS IS KI4NFK AND CATHY GUNN SIGNING OFF FOR NOW WE WILL KEEP ALLEN'S HAM RADIO DREAM ALIVE. |
