Services:
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. J. Carlisle Grimsley and the Rev. Robbie Brissey officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Dale Miles, Stanley Matthews, Allen Matthews, Wayne Newton, Timothy Fowler and Slim Ashley. The family is at the home.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Obituary:
William Heyward “Bill” McClam, 76, of 104 Lowell Street, Ninety Six, husband of Pearl Langley McClam, died Sunday, February 21, 2010 at the VA Medical Center Downtown, Augusta, GA. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late William Heyward McClam, Sr. and Maude Clemmons McClam. He was retired from the Greenwood Packing Plant and worked with the Greenwood Recycling Center, Ninety Six. He was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member and deacon of the Ninety Six Church of God of Prophecy. Surviving is his wife of the home; a daughter, Joyce McClam and a son, Glenn McClam, both of Ninety Six; a sister, Dorothy Broach of Columbia; a granddaughter raised in the home, Rachel Wertz of Alaska; five other grandchildren; two step grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; a great great grandchild. Also raised in the home were Robert Langley and Evelyn Lee, both of Ninety Six.

I grew up with Brother Bill always being around our family, he and Nannie as we call her were always good friends. He was a great man and I have always had the greatest respect for him. Pearl and Family, I am deeply saddened by Bill's death, but joy fills my heart when I remember how he loved and helped care for my parents.
