Pallbearers will be Matthew Hughes, James Long, Jimmy Hughes, Nathan Swofford, Joe Bell and Matthew Ashley.

| Obituary: Clifton Hughes, Jr., 78, of 207 Lake Street, widower of Virginia Bramlett Hughes, died Monday, August 9, 2010 at Hospice House.
Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Cliff and Lessie Bannister Pate Hughes. He was retired from Greenwood Mills, Durst Plant, and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church, Waterloo.
Surviving are two daughters, Virginia Elaine Carruth and her husband, Ed, of Greenwood and Marcella Hughes of Bradley; a son, Clifton Terry Hughes and his wife, Jeannie, of Greenwood; two sisters, Grace Stone of Ware Shoals and Hazel Trevino of Belton; two brothers, Harold Hughes of Bowman, GA and Jimmy Hughes of Abbeville; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
