Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Barry Butler officiating. Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
Obituary:
Clyde “T. L.” Carter, of 233 Jebosha Drive Widower of Nancy Lee Carter died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at his home. Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Evelyn Bateman. He worked for Greenwood Mills and attended Pine Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church. Surviving is a son, Clyde Carter and his wife Claudia Harrison Carter, of Greenwood; a daughter, Trudy Lee Gambrell of Greenwood; two brothers, Benny Carter and Ronnie Bateman, both of Greenwood; nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Pete Pittman, David Pittman, Matthew Pittman, Curtis Murphy and Wesley Parten. The family is at the home of his son, Clyde Carter, 229 Jebosha Drive Lot 85, Greenwood, SC 29646.

I have fond memories of Clyde's days at Connie Maxwell Children's Home. I was on the church staff. Bennie Carter lived with my parents at Convention. Sue Bateman was in our youth programs at church. You are in my thoughts and prayers today.
