Condolences | | Post Condolence | | Isaac Shaffer, South Carolina | | Dale was a dedicated Scouter. On the Long Cane District level, we really depended on him to do many thigs: he was Assistant District Commissioner, a Unit Commissioner, WebMaster, and helped with public image by taking pictures and writing articles when appropriate.
Recently, he received his Doctorate of Commissioner Science -- a 4 year endeavor-- and just 2 weeks ago received his Wood Badge beads, another multi year effort. These signify the pinnacle in these areas of Training offered by Boy Scouts of America for Scout Leaders.
We will miss Dale very much. He had limitations but never let them hold him back.He was very dedicated to the Scouting effort in Long Cane District and the Blue Ridge Council. He is an inspiration to all of us involved in Scouting.
Dale is a very memorable person, and for those of us who knew him, will be long remembered. We are blessed with his spirit always.
We know him to be at home with the Master of All Scouts, where he is checking that uniforms are in order, and all square knots are appropriately placed...
...and these are only a few of the memories that will live on with us.We hope you take solace in our fond memory of Dale, who inspired us all. We thank you for having shared him with us. | | | | Ivy Cox Prough, South Carolina | | So sorry to hear of his death! | | | | Wayne Bouldin, South Carolina | | I am a member of the Palemttoe Council of the Boy Scouts of America. I met Dale while I served on the staff of Wood Badge SR-992 in which he was a participant. Having served on several courses, I cannot recall all participants, however, Dale stood out. I specifically remember him because of several one on one conversations we had. His love for and dedication to scouting were eveident. He will be missed by both his family and the local scouting community. My condolences and prayer are extended to you all. | | | | Eric K. Williams, South Carolina | | Dear Paula and family:
I was shocked and saddened to learn of Dale's passing. He was a good friend over the years since my family first moved to the area. I always enjoyed visiting with him and hearing about his passion for scouting and his zest for life. I will miss his wry sense of humor. He made me laugh many times.
I especially remember his interest and contributions to Ninety Six National Historic Site. Many times he traveled to volunteer with our special programs and to get scouts involved. He helped design the park's first website. His interest in and support of the National Park Service was always evident and the historic site was better off for Dale's involvement.
I pray that God will give your family His peace and strength during this difficult time.

Ninety Six National Historic Site | | | | Timothy Fletcher, South Carolina | | Over my years in scouting, there were very few events that I attended that I didn't see Dale. I had the honor to personally meet Dale during Woodbadge SR-992.
Dale was an inspiration to us all. Every scout leader as well as every scout that came in contact with Dale will forever be changed because of him.
Thank you for your service. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

His knowledge of the Scouting Program and willingness to help Scouts and Scouters alike will ensure he is not forgotten. God's Peace, Dale. | | | | Darroll & Carolyn Evans, South Carolina | | Dale was our friend. He will be missed. | | | | Edward E. Patton, South Carolina | | Dale was my friend and advisor in all things related to Boy Scouting. He was my Troop's Unit Commissioner. I remain in debt for all he has done. No longer will I receive calls to my cell phone with a familiar voice saying "What can I do for you?" or "May I suggest this." I will miss his encouragement, his long term friendship and the time we spent together in the service of our Nation's youth. He never asked for anything. He only gave and gave. How rare. So I say farewell to my honorable friend and I know our Lord has greeted him with love and peace. Dale...until we meet again.

Dale was missing today!!!!
My heart was saddened today when I was told at work (Davita) that Dale, my classmate, patient and christian brother had transitioned from this world to be with the Lord.
I trully enjoyed Dale when we conversated at work while i was caring for him as my patient.
Many times Dale spoke very encouraging words to me and inspired us all.
We had moments of joy and laughter as our patient.
I would like to send my prayers and thoughts to Jennifer, His mother and the entire Mosely Family. May he rest in peace and and may we prepare to meet him again one day in Heaven with the LORD.
If we could see Dale now,He's walking streets of Gold
May the Lord Bless and Keep you all

| | | | Eric Binge, South Carolina | | The word "Scout" typifies Dale, He was full of knowledge and was always willing to chat about just about anything under the sun, and Scouting was his passion, and I could only wish to love something outside my home as much and as fully as he loved his time with scouts. We were not exactly close friends, but he was very well known for his dedication to the BSA and his name preceded him, he was always there at the functions. He accomplished much, with the culmination being woodbadge 21 July(I was in Beaver Patrol SR-992), and I am proud of his dedication and example.I Praise God he finished his tickets. He will be missed. God's peace to family and friend's at this time. Just remember, we'll see him again at Gilwell. | | | | Norman S Olsen, South Carolina | | Dale was always involved in programs to give our youth a positive start in life. His contributions are many, as noted in his Scout Leader activities. He will be missed by all.
