Services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jerry Eidson officiating. The family is at the home of her daughter, Elaine Newton, 122 Pinsonville Road, Greenwood. Memorials may be made to Solaris Hospice, 129 Straight Drive, Anderson, SC 29621.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Obituary:
Dorothy Campbell Johnson, 83, formerly of 8 Circle Street, Travelers Rest, died Friday, August 20, 2010 at NHC Healthcare, Greenwood. Born in Newberry County, she was a daughter of the late Odie O. and Grace McNeill Campbell. She was a member of Slater United Methodist Church. Surviving are two daughters, Lynda (Joseph) Black of Ninety Six and Elaine (Stanley) Newton of Greenwood; two sisters, Edna Bollinger of Travelers Rest and Barbara Hunt of Verdery; a brother, John C. Campbell of Greenville; seven grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Ernest R. Briley, Jack D. Cureton and Charles A. Johnson and was also preceded in death by a son, Maxey C. Briley, Sr. and brothers, Milton Campbell, Walter Campbell, Raymond Campbell and Daniel Campbell.
