Pallbearers will be Phillip Strawbridge, Andy Wells, Boyd Burdette, Jimmy Vaughn, O’dell Johnson and Boots Henderson.

| Obituary: Iola Davis Burdette, 81, of 2376 River Fork Road, wife of Hilburn M. Burdette, Sr., died Friday, July 30, 2010 at NHC Health Care Center.
Born in Williamston, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Bessie Lollis Davis. She retired from Dan River Textiles, was a member of the Gold Star Mother’s Club and West Main Street Church of God, Ware Shoals.
Surviving is her husband of the home; a daughter, Ann Waters of Ware Shoals; a son, Gary Burdette of Augusta, GA; a sister, Virginia Wells of Ware Shoals; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Hilburn “Buddy” Burdette, Jr.; sisters, Minnie McAllister, Bertha Childs, Gladys Gunnells, Nannie Sue Lee, Ruby Davis and Rachel Davis; brothers, Harold Davis, Samuel “Bo” Davis and Arthur “Shot” Davis and a grandchild.
