Dear Sheri, Donna and family, Working with Myrna at Ninety Six National Historic Site was a privilege and a joy. Her sparkling personality and wit, and her helpful attitude was a shining example to both staff and visitors. She was a treasured friend. In fact she was the "Mom" to the staff because of the goodies she frequently brought to the us, especially in baking our favorite cakes for our birthdays. Her devotion to God, church and family was a blessing to the community and all who knew her. She will be deeply missed. Antoinette and I send our heartfelt sympathy and prayers to all her family. We know how much she cherished each of you and know that she is waiting patiently for you to always be ready to meet her in Heaven. J. Farrell Saunders Superintendent (ret.) Ninety Six National Historic Site

Joseph Zagorski, Tennessee
My prayers are with the Maffett family. Myrna was known as "Mom" to many park rangers at Ninety-Six National Historic Site, including me. She always went out of her way to first welcome me and then help me along at my new job at the park. She didn't even care that I was a Yankee! She helped me out just the same. I always loved making her laugh with my feeble attempt to talk like a South Carolinian. I know that she is in Heaven now with our Lord, and I look forward to the day when I can see her again and laugh with her again. May God bless all of Myrna's family and friends during this time. Sincerely, Joe Zagorski Park Ranger Obed Wild and Scenic River Tennessee

Dear family, Myrna was a beautiful lady and a true Christian. Her vibrant personality and laughter was infectious, so it was always a rewarding pleasure to be with her and make her smile. I am assured the Lord has a special place for her near Him in Heaven. We who are priviledged to have been in her presence will miss her, but we rejoice to know we will be in her company once again.

I am sorry to hear of your loss. Death is an enemy to us all. It is especially an enemy when it strike someone dear to us. God is more powerful than death and he promise to get rid of this enemy once and for all. The Bible teaches: "As the last enemy, death will be brought to nothing." (1Corinthians 15;26) Then John 5:28 will be fulfilled that reads; "Marvel not at this, for the hour is coming when all that are in the graves shall hear his voice and come forth." I hope this message will help you cope with the loss of your loved one.

Sheri,Donna and extended family: Myrna was a very special lady to all. She was my Sunday School teacher when I first started to Siloam and she taught me a lot. She was a Woman of God...I remember when she worked at Cambridge Pharmacy. She is now rejoicing in her Heavenly Home with her Savior and I am sure she was greeted with open arms from Bobby and her Lord. May all the wonderful memories that you have to cherish bring you peace, comfort and understanding.

Hi We send our deepest condolences. We last saw Myrna at the Star Fort site just before she retired. It was great to see her since I had not seen her for many years (unless I saw her at a Whiteford reun in the late 1980's). I left SC for NJ after graduating from Clemson in 1956 to work for RCA. Did come to SC a couple of times a year but went Mom's Cook reun. I'm a second cousin, a son of Annie Bell Cook Lunsford. Best to everyone and may Myrna rest in peace.

Family of Myrna Maffett, May God provide you comfort in the days ahead. Myrna's life was a wonderful tribute to the Lord. Her life has touched so many, and cling to this fact that many lives have been changed forever once meeting Myrna. Jesus is truly shown through, and through. Let your light shine for Jesus, "This little light if Mine, Hide it under a bushel, NO!, Let it shine! Let it shine! Let Jesus light shine!!" May God Bless You all until we meet together again in heaven.
