| Obituary: Paul Lacy Downey, 55, of 101 Lawton Street, husband of Hong Suk Yi Downey, died Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at the VA Hospital, Nashville, TN.
Born in Starke, FL, he was a son of Nina Mobley Downey and the late Paul Salis Downey. He was employed with Anderson Metals and was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He attended the Augusta-Korean Methodist Church in Augusta, GA.
Surviving are his wife of the home; his mother of Greenwood; two daughters, Nina Downey Falkingham of Ware Shoals and Lisa Cho Potter of Williamston; a son, Paul J. Downey of Ware Shoals; two sisters, Nancy Wolfe and Pam Young, both of Greenwood; three brothers, Owen Downey and Jeff Downey, both of Greenwood and David Downey of Germany; four grandchildren, Autumn Falkingham, Austin Potter, Donald Potter and Zachary Potter.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis Downey.
