Services:
Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at New Silver Brook Cemetery, Anderson, with the Rev. Dennis Reynolds officiating. Pallbearers will be Rusty Smith, Tommy Smith, William Higgins, Richard Kyzer, David Hughes and Jeff Coates. The family members are at their respective homes. It is respectfully requested that flowers be omitted and memorials made to the Hall of Heroes Fund, c/o Veterans Affairs Office, PO Box 193, Laurens, SC 29360.
Visitation:
The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home, Greenwood, on Wednesday from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
Obituary:
Raymond Milford “Brother” Hawkins, 65, of 508 Bolt Avenue, died Sunday, March 7, 2010. Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late Harold Hawkins and Louise Hawkins Shands. He was retired from Monsanto, served in the US Navy and was a member of Orrville Baptist Church, Anderson. Surviving are two sisters, Gerrie Stewart and Carolyn Joiner, both of Greenwood; two nieces and a nephew.
