Ann Walton Langford, 77, of 721 Sidney Drive, wife of Bobby Ray Langford for 57 years, died Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Hospice House.
Born in Greenwood on November 28, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Herbert A. and Iris Styron Walton. She was a 1956 graduate of Greenwood High School and a 1958 graduate of Mars Hill Junior College. She was employed as Secretary of the Food Service Director at Lander University, retiring May 30, 2006 after 22 years of service.
Ann was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Seniors' Sunday School Class. She co-founded The Golden Heirs Gospel Singers with her husband and began a singing ministry for assisted living and retirement homes and church senior groups.
Surviving are her husband of the home; two daughters, Laura Garrett (Julian) of Waterloo and Linda Barrett (Russell) of Greenwood; four grandchildren, Evan Garrett (Nikki), Julie Ann Garrett, Alex Barrett, and Austin Barrett; and one great grandson, Jacob Garrett.
