Bruce Winford Travis, 66, of 710-B Bucklevel Road, husband of Carolyn Ann Dickey Travis, died Friday, January 12, 2018 at his home.
Born in Brewton, AL., he was the son of the late Pierce Winford and Lilly Laurene Sims Travis. He was a retired welder and a member of New Life Baptist Church, where he was the music minister and a member of the Men's Brotherhood. He was an avid hunter and die-hard Alabama fan. Roll Tide!
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his three daughters, Melissa Marie Castonguay (Steve) of Sevierville, TN., Debi Jackson (Charlie) of Arley, AL., and Angel Travis (Russell Wrenn) of Greenwood; a sister, Laura Jane Lambeth of California; grandchildren, Travis Salter, Matthew Salter (Emily Hartman), Steven Castonguay, Chase Harrison, Tyler Bruce Harrison, Cassidy Travis, Jada Travis, Cameron Jackson, Madison Jackson, Karleigh Jackson; great grandson, Wilder J. Salter; his nephew, Robert Lambeth of California; and special family friends, Renaye Owens and family.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bud Tumblin officiating. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Travis Salter, Matthew Salter, Chase Harrison, Renaye Owens, Steven Castonguay, and Tyler Harrison.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
