Carmen Morris Riddle, 86, of 1913 County Line Road West, Bradley, wife of the Rev. E. Hayes Riddle, died Monday, August 14, 2017 at her home.
Born in Ninety Six, she was a daughter of the late Tison and Susie Belle Morse Morris. She was a graduate of Ninety Six High School and Lander College, where she received her nursing degree and retired from the Health Department as a home health nurse. Carmen was a member of Providence Pentecostal Holiness Church and attended South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a member of the Ever Ready Sunday School Class.
Surviving is her husband of 69 years and her son, the Rev. Ray Riddle (Necie) of the home; her sister, Virginia Adams of Epworth; her brother, Joe Morris (Cheryl) of Columbia; grandchildren, Melanie Cox (John) of Bradley, Rick Cole (Tatyana) of Oregon City, OR and Jennifer Bassatt of Greenville; four great grandchildren; four nephews and six nieces.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Terry Bailey, Bishop Ray Boggs and the Rev. Steven Bowen officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens officiated by the Rev. Stephen Evans.
Pallbearers will be Gene Wood, Gerald Horne, David Coster, Mike Bruce, Steve Brown and Larry Cason.
Honorary escort will be members of the Ever Ready Sunday School Class of South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12 noon to 2 p.m.
