Robert Clark Hagood, Sr., 91, widower of Willie "Nese" Gary Hagood, died Thursday, October 7, 2021 at his home.
Born in Calhoun Falls, he was a son of the late William Randolph and Emma Hall Hagood. He served in both the Marine Corps and the US Army and then the Army Reserves for more than 35 years. Clark began the ROTC program at Greenwood High School. He was a loving husband and father, and he enjoyed working auctions.
Clark is survived by two daughters, Brenda Sanders (Tommy) of Columbia and Monika Hagood of Greenwood; a son, Marty Hagood of Greenwood; two brothers, William "Bill" Hagood and Cecil "Pete" Hagood; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Clark "Dock" Hagood, Jr. and a grandson, Landon Hagood.
A private graveside service with military honors will be held for immediate and extended family at 3 pm on Monday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Attendees are asked to wear mask if able.
