Jackie Yates Covington, 65, of 202 Kate Fowler Road, Ninety Six, died Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at Self Regional Health Care.

Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late Prince and Bessie Viola Williams Yates. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Mae Brown Sunday School Class, and a member of Young at Heart.

Surviving are her children, Tony Covington (Dana) of Ninety Six, Vicky Hewett of the home, and Steven Covington of Greenwood; sisters, Rachel Harrison of Greenwood and Lisa Jimenez of North Carolina; brother, Leonard Yates of Greenwood; grandchildren, Dana Collins (Jamie) of Gray Court, Daniel Covington of Laurens, Jamie Ford, Justin Ford, both of Ninety Six, Chance Hewett, Lain Hewett, Heaven Hewett, all of the home, and Alex Covington of Ninety Six.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryan Cox officiating.
