Jerry Denny Fortson, 73, of 148 Rhett Court, widower of Marcia Smith Fortson, died Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Richard M Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late David C. and Lottie Denny Fortson. He received his B.S. degree in Business from Lander College and retired as the Vice President of Greenwood Music Company. He was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his son, Robert Smith (Coralea) of Dallas, GA; his daughter, Sharon Denise Lupinski (Mike) of Easley, SC; a brother, Ray Fortson (Linda) of Seneca, SC; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
