Leland P. Vaughan, 76, of Edisto Island and formerly of Greenwood, husband of Anne Fields Vaughan, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Conway Kay and Ella Elizabeth Taylor Vaughan. He was a graduate of Hillcrest High School, Simpsonville, Presbyterian College and LSU Graduate School of Banking. Leland retired in 1995 as Regional Vice President of Wachovia Bank, Greenwood, and currently served as general manager and partner of The Plantation Golf Course of Edisto Island.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Orin Kay Vaughan and Harry Vaughan.

Surviving is his wife of the home; his children, Bryan Ashley Howell (Jessica) of Greenville, Michael Ray Vaughan (Tara) of Lexington, Kelly Anne Bullard of Hartsville and David Ross Vaughan of James Island; grandchildren, Anne-Drew Meggs Bullard, Robert Eugene Bullard, McAlister Grace Bullard, Thomas Hayes Bullard, Michael Tucker Vaughan, Lauren Elizabeth Vaughan, Austin James Vaughan and Blakeney Ross Vaughan.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Edisto Island United Methodist Church, 8193 Palmetto Road, Edisto Island, with the Revs. Kevin Stroop, Dan Smyth and Ronald Vaughan officiating.

A committal service will follow on Monday at Trinity Episcopal Church Cemetery, 1589 Highway 174, Edisto Island, with the Revs. E. Weyman Camp and Kevin Stroop officiating. Visitation will immediately follow in the church social hall.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 3, at St. Mark United Methodist Church, Greenwood, with the Revs. Kevin Stroop, Dan Smyth and Ronald Vaughan officiating. Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall.
