Mattie Blum Dukes, 91, of 947 Sunset Drive, wife of Willie Rayford Dukes for 64 years, died Saturday, July 21, 2018 at HospiceCare of the Piedmont.
Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late James S. and Pearl Sims Blum. She retired from Greenwood Mills in the executive office after 36 years, where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Mrs. Mattie was a member of Lowell Street United Methodist Church and a member of the Cheerful Workers in the church.
Surviving in addition to her husband, of the home are her children, Garry Dukes (Beverly) of Concord, NC and LuAnne Coracy (Billy) of Chapin, SC; her sister, Irma Crawford; grandchildren, Austin Dukes, Lindsey Dukes, Emily Kean, Caitlin Smith, Cortney Smith, and Brad Smith; and great grandchildren, Ethan Kean and Asher Kean.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday at Oakbrook Mausoleum with the Rev. Michael Evans officiating.
Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends following the service at the Oakbrook Family Center.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Lowell Street United Methodist Church, 300 Lowell Avenue, Greenwood, SC 29646.
