Nellie Meeks Leathers, 95, of 1767 Medowgold Lane, FL., widow of Bill Leathers, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Hospice of the Comforter, Altamonte, FL.

Born in Fountain Inn, she was a daughter of the late John Thomas and Nannie Mae Brown Meeks. Mrs. Leathers was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her children, Jerry Wadley (Michael) of Winter Park, FL. and Nancy Nix (Gordan) of Brainerd, MN; two sisters, Rose Burden of Laurens and Vera Armstrong of Gray Court; four grandchildren, Becky Pendleton of Savage, MN, Jason Nix (Michelle) of St. Michael, MN, Mark Stevens (Regina) of Birmingham, AL, and Amy Sidders (Gary) of Casselberry, FL.; seven great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Nannie Carithers and Sarah Alverson; and a brother, J.W. Meeks.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Mark Stevens, Blade Stevens, Gary Sidders, Byron Williams, Gordon Nix, and Michael Wadley.

The family will receive friends before the service from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
