Obituary

Rallie Emanuel Taylor, 90, of 227 Cove Road, husband of Debra NinaBess Parkman Taylor, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at his home.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Albert Leroy Taylor and Willie Mae Williams Taylor. He retired as a SSgt with the US Marine Corps, where he served in the Korean War and later retired from CSX Railroad. Mr. Taylor was a member of New Market Baptist Church.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his stepchildren, Lauri Wilson Mullins (Mark) and Jennifer Wilson Boozer (Scott); best friend, Michael Allen; special friend and caregiver, Phyllis Lawson; special cousin, Betty Croley (Wayne); four step grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sylvia Jean Chapman Taylor; daughter, Tracy T. Dampier; sister, Annette Brown; and brother, Douglas Taylor.

A memorial service, with full military honors, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at New Market Baptist Church with the Rev. Stanley Sprouse officiating.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the church.
