Obituary
Ronnie Lane Bateman, 63, husband of Thelma White Bateman, died Thursday, August 3, 2017 at his home.
Born in Hampton, SC, he was a son of the late Robert and Evelyn Youmans Bateman. Ronnie was retired from Gary Russ Chevrolet and loved horses, boats and fishing. He was a member of New Covenant Church.
Surviving is his wife of Greenwood and cousins, Connie Dix and Anne Cone.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Sue Ann Bateman and brothers, Clyde Carter and Bennie Carter.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Monday at New Covenant Church with the Rev. David Harrell officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 5 to 6 p.m.
