Obituary
Ernestine "Tina" Ellison Payton, 86, of Ninety Six, died Friday, July 21, 2017 at her home.
A lifelong resident of Ninety Six, she was born on December 20, 1930 to the late Ernest Ellison and Katie Leopard Ellison. Tina retired from Monsanto and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
She was the wife of the late William (Bill) Payton and was preceded in death by a daughter, Jenny Lee Bryant and a granddaughter, Michelle Robbins.
Surviving are her children: Katie Stevens (Richard) of Newberry, Anita Bryant, Elba Jean Nobles and David Payton, all of Ninety Six; her fur baby Blaze; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Monday at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Charles Owens, Rev. Tommy Cartledge and Dr. Bryan Cox officiating. Burial to follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Temple Baptist Church.
Honorary escorts will be the members of the Nanie Brown Sunday school class.
The family will receive friends before the service at the church from 1-2 pm.
