Thomas Chester "Tom" Franklin, 65, of 122 Leyland Court, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Hospice House.

Born in Asheville, NC, he was a son of the late Charles and Mildred Reeves Franklin. He was a graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School and received his B.S. degree in Business Administration from Western Carolina University. Tom worked for K-mart for more than 40 years in both North Carolina and South Carolina and was the manager of the Greenwood store for 17 years. He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his children, Thomas Franklin and Jason Franklin, both of Greenwood and Christina Franklin of the home and his brother, John Franklin and his wife, Mollie, of Naples, FL.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dean West officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m.

Family members are at their respective homes.
