Vera Inez Beauford, 96, of 712 Hill Drive, Waterloo, widow of George Thomas Beauford, Jr., died Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Townville, she was a daughter of the late Claude James and Reedie Bradberry Bridges. Vera retired three times, first from Greenwood Mills Plant No. 5, where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club, then from Geo. W. Park Seed Co. and finally as a crossing guard at Lakeview Elementary School. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Joppa Chapter # 252, Order of the Eastern Star and was a member of Panola United Methodist Church and the Kate Holley Sunday School Class. Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Pam Beauford of Waterloo; a sister, Dorothy Aileen Stone of Greenwood; granddaughters, Mary B. Kegley (Tony) and Emily B. Russell (Scott); great grandchildren, Stephen Beauford, Samantha Kelley and Kirstin Kegley and great great grandchildren, Zoey Kelley and Elycia Beauford.
