Ben L. Stevens, 70, of 527 Reedy Creek Road, husband of Sarah Fleming Stevens, died Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born in Greenwood, he was the son of Frances King Cooper and the late Marshall "Dody" Louis Stevens. Benny was a U. S. Air Force veteran and was the owner of Benny Stevens Barber Shop. He was a Mason, HEJAZ Shrine and a member of Mathews Lodge 358.

Surviving in addition to his wife of the home and mother of Greenwood are two sons, Travis Stevens (Shari) of Abbeville and Greg Stevens (Christy) of Greenwood; a daughter, Ginger Rushton (Billy) of Hodges; five grandchildren, Julie Stevens, Reid Stevens, Layne Stevens, Ella Rushton and Emma Rushton; and one great grandson, Christian Hughes.

Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Monday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Franklin McCoy officiating. Burial will be in Long Cane Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Terry LeCroy, Bill Butler, Richard Gardner, Don Price, Tony Davis, Chad Teague and Howard McCoy.

Honorary pallbearers will be Ron Barnes, James Lollis, Lou Koski, Richard Skelton along with the members of the Panola Breakfast Club.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12 to 3 p.m.

The family is at the home of his daughter, Ginger Rushton, 134 Albatross Road, Hodges.
