Lesa Johnson Chelf, 60, of 118 Old Edgefield Road, Ninety Six passed away June 19, 2018 at her home.

Lesa was born on April 13, 1958 to Richard Johnson and Ruth Ann Hills in Michigan. She married on June 30, 1984 to Randy Chelf. Lesa was a graduate of Lansing Community College and worked at Sparrow Hospital until 1986, when she moved to South Carolina. She worked with Self Memorial Hospital as a Central Sterile Processing supervisor until her leave in 2004. Lesa was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1988 and battled with it until her final days.

She is survived by husband, Randy Chelf; daughter Jennifer Chelf Nurse and her spouse, John Trevor Nurse; her granddaughter Vivian Nurse; her father, Richard Johnson; stepfather Russ Cook; and step siblings, Teresa and Mark Cook. She is predeceased by her mother, Ruth Ann Cook and grandmother Gertrude Hills.

Memorial Service for Lesa will be held at Harley Funeral Home in Greenwood on Saturday, June 23, 2018. Visitation services will be held from 4:00 until 4:45pm and a memorial service will follow at 5pm.
