Randy May

June 13, 1947 - May 3, 2022

Eugene Randall May, 74, of Waterloo, husband of Mary Wrenn May, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Clarence May, Jr. and Mary Parks May. Randy retired from Greenwood School District where he worked maintenance and was a mason. He enjoyed riding his golf cart around the neighborhood visiting his neighbors and was a friend to all. Randy had a strong faith and loved telling others about the Lord. He was a former member of Bethlehem Union Church for 34 years where he was a deacon, Sunday school teacher, Helping Hand Ministries, music and youth minister along with helping with the church maintenance. Randy was a current member of Shade Tree Revival Church where he was in the music ministry. He was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne May. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are his sons, Tim May (Autumn) and Tony May (Moriah) both of Waterloo; two sisters, Betty Jo Weaghington (Sambo) and Ann Earnhardt (Steve) both of Greenwood; a brother, Doodle May (Bonnie) of Monticello, KY; grandchildren, Chris May, Bethni May, Hunter May, Chloe May; great grandchildren, Kendall May, Lilly May, Kexin Eaton and Oryn Webb; and a nephew who was more like a grandson, Ethan Clark. Services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday at Bethlehem Union Church with the Rev. Grady Lothridge and Rev. James Nix officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
