Agnes Vernetta "Net" Coker, 86, formerly of 173 Orchard Park Drive, widow of Thomas Edward McLaurin died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Emerald Gardens.
Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Henry Weeks and Sadie Mae Talbert Weeks. Net retired from Greenwood Fire Department as a secretary and was a member of Lupo United Methodist Church where she was in the Women's Sunday School Class.
She was twice married, second to the late C. H. "Pete" Coker, Jr. and was preceded in death by a sister, Lucille McLaurin.
Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Whitmire (Thomas), Becky Sims (Butch), both of Greenwood and Brenda Ouzts (Lawrence) of Saluda; four stepchildren, Donnie Coker, Sr. (Cathy) of Greenwood, Janice Swanson (Sonny) of Savannah, GA, Miriam Stien of North Augusta and Lynne Scott (John) of Greenwood; two brothers, Clarence "Bo" Weeks (Beth) and Terry Weeks (Betty) both of Greenwood; thirteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; and a nephew, Frank McLaurin of Houston, TX.
Services will be held at 11 am on Friday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Mr. Chris Pepper officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shannon Adams, Lee Funderburk, Jason Ouzts, Joshua Sims, Ronnie Sims, Thomas Sims and Tracy Whitmire.
Honorary pallbearers will be Greenwood City Fire Department past and present members.
The family will receive friends before the service at the funeral home from 10-11 am.

The family is at the home of her grandson, Josh Sims, 151 Amherst Drive, Cherokee Subdivision, Greenwood.
