Albert D. Darby, 84, husband of Betty Woodson Darby, died Thursday, December 19, 2013 at Hospice House. Born in Honea Path, he was a son of the late Claude and Alma Ashley Darby. He was retired from Monsanto and was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, stationed in Germany. He was a member of Coronaca Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife; three sons, Albert Donnald �Don� Darby, Jr. (Susie) of Malabar, FL, Keith W. Darby (Gwen) of Greenwood and Ted A. Darby (Janet Lou) of Knoxville, TN; grandsons, Phillip Darby (Josh Smith) of Tampa, FL, Paul Darby (Kelly) of Clermont, FL and Tim Darby (Charlane) of Melbourne, FL; granddaughters, Whitney Darby of Falls Church, VA and Alaina Darby of Knoxville, TN; and two great grandchildren, Gavin and Brynn Darby of Clermont, FL. He was preceded in death by his brother, Olin Pallbearers will be Phillip Darby, Paul Darby, Tim Darby, Martin Witt, Mark Hamm, James Berley and Doug Poole. Honorary escort will be members of the Men�s Sunday School Class and the deacons of Coronaca Baptist Church. The family is at the home, 404 Willard Road.
