Albert H. Sheriff, Sr., 79, of 736 Truett Avenue, widower of Verdell Manley Sheriff, passed away on Friday, April 5, 2013 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Born in Anderson County, he was a son of the late Ernest Robert Sheriff and Adell Jackson Sheriff. Albert was a truck driver for 57 years having worked for L. R. Pulliam Trucking and Mt. Vernon Mills. He attended Marshall Road Church of God. Albert was married for fifty three years to the love of his life, Verdell, loved to ride his motorcycle and was an avid NASCAR fan. Surviving are his five children, Albert Sheriff, Jr., of the home; Thomas Sheriff of Madera, CA, Tammy Martinez, Cindy Brown and Jaime Satterfield, all of Greenwood; two sisters, Betty Sims and Martha Lee Fields, both of Belton; two brothers, Robert Sheriff of Belton and Randy Sheriff of Iva; eleven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be his grandsons. Honorary escort will be Larry Stuart, Johnny Duncan, Ronny Anderson, Gary Scott and Gene Ellenburg. The family is at the home.
