Alfred George Savel, Jr., 76, of 115 Charlotte Drive, husband of Rita Ann Bock Savel, died Wednesday, June 1, 2011 at Hospice House. Born in Duquesne, PA, he was the son of the late Alfred George Savel, Sr. and Betty Dobos Savel. Mr. Savel was a U. S. Army Reserve veteran. He retired from J & L Steel in Cleveland, OH and also worked as an EMT in McCormick. He was an avid fisherman, diver and pilot. Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are a son, John Savel of Kent, OH; two daughters, Janet (Jim) Gilbert of Greeley, CO and Karen (Steve) Savel-Armil of Riverside, CA; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Mark Savel and by a sister, Betty Bodnovich. The family is at the home.
