Alice May King Catoe, 89, of Easley, widow of Elvin Jerry Catoe, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023 at her home.
Born in Chesterfield, she was a daughter of the late J.B. King and Ida Mae Hall King. Alice was a member of Realife Ministries and attended Abbeville Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved her church families and always enjoyed fellowshipping with them. She enjoyed pretty flowers and cooking, especially her famous cornbread dressing. Above all else she loved her family with her great great grandson, Granger being the icing on the cake.
She is survived by her children, Rita Evans (Skeeter) of Powdersville and Rev. Jerry Catoe (Ann) of Greenwood; sister, Bette Smith; brother, Sonny King; four grandchildren, Jennifer King, Brian Evans, Jeremy Catoe, and Dustin Catoe; three great grandchildren, Evan, Ethan, and Erin King; and one great great grandson, Granger.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason McCary and Rev. Shane Elrod officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Billy Ferguson, Charlie Williams, Bubba Garron, Chuck Francis, Steve Davis, and Leonard Partain.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
