Alice Hughes Massey, 72, of 426 Stevens Avenue, wife of Larry Massey, died Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Hospice House. Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late James Earl and Dora Marie Castleberry Hughes. She retired from Greenwood Mills, where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. She and Larry were avid RVers and members of the Lakeland Sams, and P. A. B. RV Clubs, traveling all across the United States and loved fishing. She was of the Baptist and Pentecostal faith. Surviving is her husband of the home; two daughters, Susan Massey Eubank and her husband, Jim, of Ninety Six and Rita Massey Harrison and her husband, Michael, of Greenwood; her brother, Bobby James Hughes and his wife, Betty, of Hodges; four grandchildren, Brandy Eubank Davis (Melvin), Waylon Byrd (Samantha), Lorin Eubank Clinkscales (Wesley) and Lindsey S. Eubank (Jason Price); three great grandchildren, Reese Eubank, Caleb Byrd and Ryleigh Eubank; sister-in-law, Gail Massey Miller, who Alice referred to as �Sis� and her husband, Lanny, of Greenwood; brother-in-law, Robert �Shorty� Harrison of Greenwood; several nieces and nephews; special friend and neighbor, Dot Driggers of Greenwood and special friends, Bill and Shirley Boyce of Portland, OR and Jimmy and Sally Knight of Greenwood. She was preceded in death by her sister, who was her best friend, Doris Marie �PeeWee� Harrison. . Pallbearers will be Raymond Massey, Leon Massey, John Lindley, Jim Eubank, Michael Harrison, Waylon Byrd, Wesley Clinkscales, Melvin Davis and Jason Price. Honorary escort will be the members of the Lakeland Sams, P. A. B. RV Clubs and friends and associates of Greenwood Mills along with Walt Pruitt, Marvin Massey, Ray Massey, Ronald Massey, Ann Driggers, Connie Smith Welborn, Debbie Driggers and Kenny Andrews. The family is at the home.
