Alice Wells Terry 90, 425 East Henrietta Ave., Greenwood, widow of James Bruce Terry Sr. went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Self Regional Medical Center.

Born on November 27, 1926 in Elberton Ga., she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Alice Tucker Wells. She retired from the legal field after more than 50 years and was of the Baptist faith. Alice loved the Lord and helping people in any way she could. She was well known for speaking her mind and being honest and true in her actions. She loved flowers, gardening and working in her yard to beautify her little corner of Greenwood.

Surviving are her two sons, Bruce Terry Jr. and wife Nell, of Abbeville and Danny Terry of the home; four grandchildren: Duane Terry (Becca) of Waterloo, Brian Terry (Amy) of Charleston, Kim Ishman (Justin) and Chris Getsinger (Sara) both of Anderson; great grandchildren, Sean, Amelia, Trent, Tommy, Owen and Megan; two sisters; Louise Baldwin of Atlanta and Allene McDowell of Greenwood; three brothers: Leroy Wells of Pelzer, Charles Wells of Greenwood, Bobby Wells and wife Donna of Ninety Six and many nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by four brothers: James Wells, Thomas Wells, Frank Wells, and David Wells.

Services will be held at 11 am on Wednesday at Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Craig McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm.
