Alice Hackett Voiselle, 94, widow of George W. Voiselle, passed away Friday, November 8, 2024 at NHC Greenwood.
Born in Laurens, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Janie Hackett. Alice was a member of Ninety Six Pentecostal Holiness Church and First Assembly of God in Greenwood. She attended Charazanne Beauty College and was employed by Ninety Six Greenwood Mills, Cambridge Pharmacy, and Este Lauder at Belk until her retirement. She enjoyed her friends at Long's Residential Care Facility, but most of all enjoyed her ice cream and sweets.
She is survived by her children, Tony Voiselle (Rhonda) of Deland, FL. and Rex Voiselle (Nancy) of Greenwood; grandchildren, Christi Voiselle Duffie (Joey) of Greenwood, Andrea Poole (Lisa) of Dayton, OH, and Les Poole (Raye) of Greenwood; great grandchildren, Tanner Duffie (Hannah), Payton Duffie, Holden Poole, and Jordan Poole, all of Greenwood. Besides her immediate family, she had a deep affection for her extended Florida family and a very special bond of love for her niece, Brenda Taratus of Jacksonville, FL.
In addition to her beloved husband, George of 66 years, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Chapman of Middleburg, FL and five other siblings.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr. Carlos Manalich and Dr. Dougles Powell and their staffs; the staff at Long's Residential Care Facility in Saluda; and the staff of NHC Greenwood.
Services will be private. Burial will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Ninety Six.
