Obituary
Kathy Walters, 75, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025 at her home.
Born in Munich, Germany, she was a daughter of the late Pete Walters and Aileen Smith Walters. She received her PhD in psychology and was employed with the US military as a behavioral health psychologist. Kathy was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.
She was the oldest of six siblings and is survived by her brothers, Joe Yeargin and Candler Yeargin, sisters Joann Yeargin and Suzane Walters; cousins, Robert C. Smith, Jr. (Myra) of Columbia and Gil Smith (Susan) of Lexington; along with many extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Walters and sister-in-law, Rhonda Yeargin.
The family will hold a private memorial service.
