Amy Haddon Ward, 52, of Abbeville, wife of Shane Ward, passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

Born in Spartanburg on October 31, 1972, Amy was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and strength.

Amy lovingly served as a Respiratory Therapist and Manager at AnMed Medical Center, where her compassion and dedication made a profound impact on countless lives. Not only did she care for her patients with exceptional skill, but she also provided guidance and support to her colleagues, symbolizing the very essence of empathy in healthcare.

Amy's life was a testament to the power of faith and redemption. In her journey of recovery from alcoholism, which she embraced with courage for 17 years, she became a beacon of hope for many. Through her own experiences, she touched the souls of those around her, sponsoring individuals battling similar struggles and showcasing the transformative strength of God's grace. "When she gave everything to God, He took it from there" was a mantra she lived by, and her unwavering faith was a driving force throughout her life.

She was not just a pillar of strength for her family; she was the glue that held them together. Amy loved her husband, Shane, with a profound devotion that created a beautiful partnership founded on their shared faith and trust in the Lord. She was a dedicated mother to her two precious daughters, Lauryn and Claire, who she loved full-heartedly. She poured out her resources for her loved ones, always ready to support and uplift them in any way possible.

Amy was an active member of New Covenant Church, where her spirit and commitment to her faith flourished. She always put Christ first and strived to share His word. Her laughter, kindness, and unwavering love will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched.
