Andrew "Andy" Giles Scott, Jr. 71, of Greenwood, passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 at his home.

Born in Greenwood, he was a son of the late Andrew Giles Scott, Sr. and Elizabeth Louise Phillips. Andy was employed with Greenwood Mills, where he worked in many of the plants but mainly the Matthews Plant. He was a hard worker and very skilled in his trade. When Andy wasn't hard at work, he could be found fishing or doing anything outdoors. He loved his dog, Sassy and took pride in caring and providing for his family.

He is survived by his son, Andrew Giles Scott, III "Scotty" (Melinda) of Greenwood; daughter, Amanda Hitt (Marion) of Ninety Six; sisters, Virginia Evans of Spartanburg and Betty Jane Brown (Jimmy) of Greenwood; brothers, Richard "Ricky" Scott (Brenda) and Bobby Scott (Carolyn), both of Greenwood; and grandchildren, Damian "Seth" Scott and Reed Hitt.

There will be no services per Andy's request.
