Angela Kay Womack, 58, of 667 Round About Way, Ware Shoals, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont.
Born in Leesburg, Florida, she was a daughter of Joyce Smart Womack and the late Berns H. Womack. Angela was a graduate of Ware Shoals High School and Lander University.
Angela's passion for flower gardening, her love for exploring new foods through cooking, and her fascination with antiques reflected her vibrant spirit. An avid reader and a traveler at heart, Angela found peace in the mountains and lived for scalloping trips in the gulf. She held a special place in the hearts of all who knew her, and her niece and nephew held an especially cherished spot in her own heart.
In addition to her mother, Joyce of Ware Shoals, she is survived by her two sisters, Dena Hendrix (Denny) and Suzanne Womack, both of Ware Shoals; nephew, Caleb Hendrix (Michéle) of Aiken; niece, Carsyn Hendrix of Ninety Six; good friend, Jeanette Holyfield and many beloved cousins, extended family, and friends. Most importantly her beautiful companion, Bruno, who is no ordinary cat.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Nate Wiles officiating. Inurnment will follow at a later date at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends following the service.
