Obituary
Anna Martha Derrick Hall, of Greenwood, wife of Swinton "SJ" Hall, Jr. died, Friday, October 7, 2022.
Born in Johnston, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Wilson Derrick and Laura Hendrix Derrick. Anna retired from Grimes Aerospace after working over 25 years. She enjoyed sewing, taking care of her family and traveling to the beach with her closest friends, Carol Ann and Vickey, whom the three were known as the "Three Golden Girls". Anna was a devoted member of Fountain of Life Church of God of Prophecy where she taught Sunday school many years.
She was preceded in death by two children, Jimmy Hall and Joyce Loggins.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are her children, Phyllis Lawson (Jerry) of Ninety Six and Steve Hall (Debbie) of Greenwood; two sisters, Harriett Owens (James) and Willette Youmans; a brother, Reginal Derrick (Cleo); her fur baby, Tiny; eight grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren' and two great-great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday at Fountain of Life Church with the Rev. Robbie Brissey and Rev. Christopher Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends before the service at the church from 1-2 p.m.
