Anna McRae Helms, 79, of 109 Brookhaven Drive, beloved wife of Charles L Helms, Korean veteran and retired Cost Accountant, died Monday, June 1, 2015 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Anson County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Donald B. and Della Marze McRae. Anna was a homemaker and a teacher�s aide at Westerly Hills Elementary School in Charlotte. She was the former manager of Bowers-Rodgers Resale Store and was a member of St. Mark United Methodist Church where she was in the fellowship class. She was preceded in death by a son, David C. Helms. Surviving in addition to her husband of 63 years of the home are a daughter, Teena Williams and her husband, Robert, of Charlotte; a son, Charles A. Helms and his wife Rebecca Ann, of Littleton, CO; seven grandchildren, Micah, Matthew, Ashley, Paul, Tara, Taylor and Ashley; and seven great grandchildren, Will, Sajal, Adrian, Eric, Sheila, Sydney and DC. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to St. Mark United Methodist Church Mission Fund, 550 Bypass 72 NW, Greenwood, SC 29649. The family is at the home.
