Anna Marie Tullis, 45, of Greenwood, passed away Friday, September 12, 2025 at her home.
Born on March 31, 1980 in Greenwood, she was the daughter of Joseph "Joe" Tullis and the late Faye Corley Tullis.
Anna was a graduate of Lander University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in mechatronics, and she also obtained two associate degrees from Piedmont Technical College. Her career at Eaton was a testament to her intelligence and hard work. Anna's greatest joy came from her family. Her love for her children was boundless, and she dedicated her life to ensuring they were always cared for and never went without. She was the family's ultimate planner, effortlessly organizing any and every gathering. Her meticulous planning and thoughtful touches, like creating bunny footprints for the annual Easter egg hunts and leaving families with special bible verses, were a true expression of her loving spirit.
She was a woman of many passions. Anna had a remarkable "green thumb" and found peace and happiness in caring for her many plants. She was also an avid reader and she loved the thrill of riding motorcycles. A woman with a wonderful sense of humor, she could always make those around her laugh. She had a special affection for turtles, a nod to her patient and steady nature.
A woman of deep faith, she was a member of First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Her compassionate heart and generous spirit led her to always take care of others, especially her family, ensuring their needs were met before her own.
In addition to her father, Joe, she is survived by her children, Chaz Cockrell, Braxton Cockrell (Lexi), and Aldin Cockrell; brothers, Joe Tullis (Crystal) and Charlie Lambour (Anastasia); sister, Sommer Bice (Matt); good friend, Wiley Free, who was a true blessing to her and loved her greatly; three grandsons, Kayden, Micah, and Jaxon; and multiple other family and friends whom she loved and they loved her.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jay Pruitt and Rev. Dennis Reynolds officiating.
Pallbearers will be Chaz, Braxton, Aldin, Little Joe, Matthew, and Charlie.
The family will receive friends following the service.
Memorials may be made to First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 2107 Mt. Moriah Road, Greenwood, SC 29646.
