Helen Anne Bryan Collins, 94, widow of Lamar Lloyd Collins died peacefully December 14, 2021 at Hospice of Greenwood – just a few days before her 95th birthday.

Born in Orangeburg, SC she was the daughter of the late Eddie Brooks Bryan and Helen Sue Thompson Bryan. She was a seasonal worker at Park Seed Company until her retirement due to medical conditions and was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Sue Peeler (husband Ronnie) of Greenwood and her son Dr. Lamar Lloyd Collins, Jr. (wife Linda) of Farragut, TN; four grandchildren, David Peeler (Amy), Shannon Peeler (special friend Jeff Vassar), Richard Lloyd Collins (Connie), Steven Glen Collins; and three great grandsons, Will, Graham, and Davis Peeler. Also surviving are her two sisters, June Scott Nettles (Jerry), Barbara Heard (Billy); her brother, Eddie Brooks Bryan, Jr. (Cathie) and many nephews and nieces.

The family expresses sincere gratitude for the love and care given by the staff and volunteers at Bayberry Assisted Living for the last several years, and the Greenwood Rehabilitation Hospital and Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont during the last few months.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to one of these three facilities that cared for Mrs. Collins the final years of her life.

The services will be held at Harley Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 17, 2021 with the Rev. Dennis Barden and Rev. Johnnie Waller officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
