Annette Mercer Avery, 79, of 211 Willowbrook Road, widow of James Edward Avery, died Thursday, October 20, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in McCormick, she was a daughter of the late Amos and Lillie Mae Carroll Mercer. She was retired from Greenwood Mills and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving is a son, Alan Terry Avery, Sr. of Greenwood; two sisters, Ruby Reeves of Greenwood and Juanita Roche of Anderson; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jonathan Wiley, T. J Avery, Monty Wells, Mack Graham, Ty Vines and Russell Vines. The family is at the home.
