Annette C. Barnes, 88, formerly of 102 Oak Ridge Drive Greenwood South Carolina, and formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida passed away peacefully at the Wesley Commons Health Center on Sunday, October 25th, 2010. Born in Brooklyn, New York on September 11, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Manlis and Mary Concetta Corradi. She was married to Frederick W. Barnes, Jr. who preceded her in death on June 27, 2008, after 60 years of marriage. She was a devoted wife of a Navy man who served for 30 years though wars and peace. All that met Annette knew that she was kind, loving, strong and always willing to give of herself to others. She was completely devoted to her family, and her family to her. She was a true gift from God and will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Heaven has a new star to watch over us. Mom we will love you always. Annette is survived by her sons, Frederick Peter Barnes IV, Randolph Christopher Barnes, and her Daughter-In-Law, Carol Ann Mogan, all of Greenwood. She was preceded in death by her son, David Peter Barnes, her sisters Rita Critchley and Madeline Weis, and her brother Admiral Peter Corradi. The family members are at their respective homes.
