Annie Ruth Wells, 82, 824 Miller Road, wife of William David Wells died Saturday, August 8, 2009 at Hospice House. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Rochelle and Vennie Tomlinson Scott. Mrs. Wells was a homemaker and attended of North Greenwood Church of God. She was preceded in death by two sons: Gerald Pope and Danny Pope; and two brothers: Mack Scott and Scurry Scott. Surviving in addition to her husband of the home are: four daughters: Elaine (Bruce) Anderson, Jane (Miley) Harvey, Cindy (Jerry) Horton, all of Hodges and June (Ronnie) Corley of Greenwood; a son Fred (Debra) Pope of Hodges; a brother Ronald Scott of Callison; twenty-two grandchildren; forty-eight great grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
