Annie L. White, 87, resident of National Health Care (NHC), formerly of 219 Ware Street, widow of John Courtney White, Sr., died Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at HospiceCare of the Piedmont.
Born in Greenwood, she was a daughter of the late James Thomas and Mable Cockrell Rushton. She retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of South Greenwood Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are her children, Kathi Leopard (Tony) of Ninety Six, Johnny White and Vicky Bell, both of Greenwood; grandchildren, Jennifer Williams (Sean) of Ninety Six, Toni Leopard of North Caroline, Justin Leopard (Ashleigh), Jonathan White, Ray Boyd, Austin Bell, all of Greenwood, and Tammy Dowdy (Russell) of Anderson; and eight great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Rosa Crawford and a brother, Bud Rushton.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Terry Bailey officiating. An inurnment will be held at Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
The family will be at the home of her daughter, Kathi, 719 Wilson Bridge Road, Ninety Six, SC 29666.
