Argyle Burriss Carson, 94, formerly of 204 Forest Drive, widow of Edward Clifford Carson, Jr., died Saturday, December 12, 2015 at Morningside Assisted Living. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late C.P. Burriss, Sr. and Zella Mae Kinard Burriss. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Greenwood. Surviving are a son, E.C. "Sonny " Carson, III (Rosemary) of Edisto Island; a daughter, Cheryl Simpson (Jack) of Newnan, GA; two grandchildren, E.C. "Ward " Carson, IV of Simpsonville and Connor Murphy of Greenwood; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four sisters; Sybil Snyder, Edna Raborn, Mildred Penn, and Mabel Dukes; and a brother, C.P. Burriss.
