Arnold Claude Cole, Sr., 83, of 223 Blyth Road, widower of Myrtle Scott Cole, died Monday, April 3, 2017 at Self Regional HealthCare.
Born in Carnesville, GA, he was a son of the late Raymond D. Cole and Mamie Snipes Cole Beauford. He was employed by Greenwood Mills, Mathews Plant for 31 years and retired from Westinghouse. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, an avid hunter and fisherman, and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are a son, Arnie Cole (Lisa) of Greenwood; a brother, Rabun Cole (Gaynell) of Ninety Six; a grandson, Hunter Cole of Greenwood; and a great grandchild, Piper Cole of Greenwood.
He was preceded in death by sisters, Lois Phillips, Dorothy Bentley, and Frances Worthington; and brothers, Alvin Cole, Robert Cole, Thermond Cole, and Troy Cole.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Ouzts officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Sid Cole, Troy Cole, Kenny Cole, Tyler Cole, Randy Haupfear, and Rudy Scott.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice.
