Asberry Tate "Pat " Patterson, 76, of 129 Pope Street, husband of Rebecca Harrison Patterson, died Monday, March 23, 2015 at Abbeville Nursing Home. Born in Abbeville County, he was a son of the late J. T. and Emma Ellis Patterson. He was a 1958 graduate of Calhoun Falls High School and earned an Associates Degree in electronics from Piedmont Technical College. He was the owner of Pat's Sign Service and retired from the SC Forestry Commission. Asberry was a member of Clinton Lodge #3 A.F.M. in Abbeville for 40 years and was a member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife of the home; his daughters, Sandra Patterson Imhof (Tom) of Abbeville and Sherrill Patterson Eaddy (Jay) of Greenwood; grandchildren, Summer Hoffman, Brandon Patterson, Jessica Butler (Tony), Richard Imhof, Emma Imhof, Greyson Imhof, Sara Grace Eaddy and Anna Kate Eaddy; a great grandson, Eli Fender; sister-in-law, Marie Patterson of Abbeville and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Beaulah Patterson Hill and his brothers, Thomas C. Patterson, Harold E. Patterson, Teddy A. Patterson and John Albert Patterson. Pallbearers will be nephews.
